The brands that promote quick, reasonable, and trendy clothes exploit their workers behind the stores and do not even use sustainable fabrics. This leaves a big impact on the environment and the financial conditions of the workers. But then, why do our favorite influencers who we look up to promote these dangerous brands? Let’s find out. 

THEY WANT TO APPEAL TO A YOUNGER AUDIENCE:

We all know that millennials don’t have a lot of money to themselves but they still want to keep up with the trends. Here is where fast fashion brands come into the picture. Brands have the strategies of appealing to the younger audience through these influencers and even the influencers want to be relatable to their audience and let’s be honest, influencers have a younger audience than the working class who can think about sustainability in the clothes. 

AFFILIATION – A NEW WAY OF EARNING: 

Affiliation is a great way to earn for influencers and an effective way of marketing for the brands. A lot of people buy through sites like Amazon and their fast fashion brands who sell on the sites. This can be relatable content for influencers to promote and through affiliation, they may get a little side money from it. It can be beneficial for the influencers, brands, and the audience who likes the trend. 

SIZE ISSUES: 

A lot of high-end brands that cover sustainability do not contain size options. So, if a 14 size person wants to wear something sustainable, it might not be possible to find it. Also, influencers have to be size-inclusive, and hence fast fashion brands that contain size options have to be promoted by influencers. Because of the inclusivity in the content and availability in sizes of fast fashion brands. 

OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL-INFLUENCERS ON SOCIAL MEDIA: 

Not all high-end brands may hire some basic influencers. Not all influencers may get brands they use on a daily basis because of their different marketing strategies. And hence, it may become very difficult for influencers to get brand deals. So, a more practical option for influencers is to work with fast fashion brands because there a lot of them. They never run out of brands when they go for this option and hence, a business point of view of influencers may be fast fashion brands.
